Wild Poplar Moisturizing Soap  is handmade out of oil and tea infused with Wild Poplar Buds harvested in late winter and early spring. Poplar Buds are also commonly known as Balm of Gilead.

Wild Poplar Buds are a magical favourite of mine. In the winter, Wild Poplar Buds fill the air with a sweet, resinous fragrance that very much resembles oil of amber. In the late spring they rain down cotton and form fluffy snow drifts across country roads.

Out of the Wild Poplar Buds I create a tea and infuse the oil that I use in the soap. Made with a higher level of Organic Olive Oil than my other soaps, Wild Poplar Bud Soap is the most skin moisturizing soap that I make. Increasing the capability of Wild Poplar Bud Soap is the naturally occuring salicylic acid that naturally moisturizes and is a powerful anti-inflammatory. Wild Poplar Buds are also high in anti-oxidants. This is a soap that your skin will love, especially if your skin is older, dry or has sensitivities such as eczema or psoriasis.

Another soap that I make by hand that also contains salicylic acid is Pressed Violet Soap which will be available soon.
